Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including thorough physical exams and medical history assessments
• Assist in assessing and diagnosing surgical issues through analysis of imaging studies and lab results
• Collaborate closely with surgeons to devise and implement patient-specific surgical plans
• Provide essential intraoperative assistance, which includes preparing operating rooms, positioning patients appropriately, and transferring surgical instruments during procedures
• Offer excellent pre- and post-operative support, including medication management, wound care, discharge procedures, and patient education

Educational Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with a focus on surgical practice is highly preferred

Certifications

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• Required certifications include BLS and ACLS
• State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physician Assistant
