AMS, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Commercial HVAC & Refrigeration Installer to lead commercial installation projects. This role requires expert‐level refrigeration skills, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record of delivering high‐quality installations. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with commercial refrigeration systems as well as advanced HVAC systems such as Split Systems, VRF/VRV, and rooftop units. A Company vehicle will be provided to those who have a valid license and a clean driving record.
What You’ll Do
- Lead installation of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Perform brazing, leak testing, evacuation, charging, and system start‐ups
- Supervise and mentor junior and intermediate installers
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering documents
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades
- Diagnose and resolve installation and operational issues
- Conduct system testing and performance verification
- Ensure OSHA compliance and conduct job‐site safety briefings
- Maintain accurate installation documentation and as‐built records
What You Bring
- 5–7+ years commercial Refrigeration HVAC installation experience
- 2–3+ years leadership or lead‐installer experience
- Strong background in commercial refrigeration installation
- High school diploma or GED (vocational HVAC training preferred)
- RMGA certification preferred
- EPA Universal required
- OSHA 10 preferred
- NATE or advanced HVAC certifications a plus
- Ability to read complex blueprints and technical documents
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‐solving skills
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 75 lbs
- Work in confined spaces, heights, and varying weather conditions
- Stand, kneel, climb ladders, and wear a tool belt for extended periods
- Reliable transportation
