Details Trauma ICU setting within a Level I Trauma Center Care for medical, surgical, and trauma ICU patients Night shift, 4x12 hours, 1900-0730, with every other weekend rotation Some holiday coverage required Floating required as needed Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active WI or compact RN license required BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only) Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required within the last 3 years Trauma Level I experience required Teaching hospital experience preferred Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and an 80% or higher overall score Skills required include IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, multisystem organ dysfunction care, and IV insulin protocols required Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to medical, surgical, and trauma ICU patients, including ventilator and hemodynamic management Located at a Magnet-designated, nationally ranked teaching hospital and referral center Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted First-time travelers are not preferred for this position American Traveler Job ID P-748146.
