Desired Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in a school setting or as a paraprofessional preferred
• Understanding of child development, behavioral management, and classroom procedures
• Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to support students with a variety of learning, behavioral, or physical challenges
• Comfortable working individually with students as well as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or certification is a plus
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately

Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers in daily classroom activities and lesson implementation
• Provide direct support to students, including those with special needs
• Adapt instructional materials and strategies to fit individual learning plans
• Encourage students’ social, emotional, and academic growth
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
• Foster an inclusive, safe, and supportive classroom atmosphere
• Assist with classroom management and organization
• Support with documentation and communication as required by the school team
