This full-time, contract opportunity is designed for an OT who enjoys collaborating with educational teams and tailoring interventions to help children succeed in their daily school routines. With a 35-hour work week, you’ll have the chance to bring your expertise to a supportive environment and make a lasting difference.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT license in Massachusetts
- Previous pediatric or school-based occupational therapy experience preferred
- Ability to adapt interventions for a diverse student population
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and educators
- Proficiency with evaluation, intervention planning, and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas of need in the school setting
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans that promote academic and functional success
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services across two schools within the district
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with district and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations to support student goals
- Engage in professional development and contribute to a positive school culture
