Job Title: Buyer

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join their team. This position is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, supplies, and services needed to support business operations. The ideal candidate will have strong vendor management skills, sound judgment, and the ability to balance cost, quality, and delivery requirements. Based on general knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase materials, supplies, equipment, and services in alignment with business needs. Based on general knowledge.
• Evaluate supplier pricing, quality, service, and delivery performance. Based on general knowledge.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors. Based on general knowledge.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve purchasing or delivery issues. Based on general knowledge.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely replenishment. Based on general knowledge.
• Create and manage purchase orders and track order status through delivery. Based on general knowledge.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and warehouse teams to support procurement goals. Based on general knowledge.
• Analyze purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities. Based on general knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures. Based on general knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field preferred. Based on general knowledge.
• 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience preferred. Based on general knowledge.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Based on general knowledge.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing or ERP systems. Based on general knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Based on general knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Based on general knowledge.

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field, along with experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
• 3-5 years of commercial print paper buying experience, ideally within a 40-inch commercial printing operation.
• Strong understanding of paper grades, weights, finishes, and sheet or roll sizes used in commercial print purchasing.
• Demonstrated ability to apply strategic sourcing and negotiation skills to achieve cost savings and favorable supplier agreements.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing concepts and familiarity with shipping, receiving, and accounts payable processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze purchasing data, track results, and maintain organized records.
• Excellent planning, time management, communication, and relationship management skills with both internal customers and external suppliers.
