Pay: $2,160/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Hermitage, TN on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide specialized care to patients who require close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions, bridging the gap between intensive care and general medical-surgical units. The ideal candidate has strong PCU or step-down experience, excels in high-acuity settings, and is committed to delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU setting.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other critical indicators, intervening promptly when necessary.
• Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and treatments accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families about their health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the medical record.
• Adhere to infection control protocols, safety standards, and evidence-based practices in PCU nursing.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in Tennessee (or compact eligibility).
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent PCU or step-down nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills in high-acuity situations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care.
• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
