10100 E Jefferson Ave, Detroit, MI 48214, USA Job Description Compensation: $68,536 - $96,210 (Based on Experience) Summary: Responsible for planning, leading, organizing, controlling, and executing various projects and tasks for a unit. Responsible for developing and maintaining best practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely deliverables. May work independently or with a team to achieve operational efficiencies. Job Responsibilities: Establish and maintain relationships with internal/external clients, vendors, and other stakeholders Develop and maintain processes and procedures consistent with best practices, federal, state, and local laws Achieve operational efficiencies by forecasting requirements, contributing information, and presenting recommendations Identify and implement process improvements, team member training needs, provide on-the-job training, and new technology Analyze variances and initiate corrective actions needed to ensure timely completion of assigned projects Prepare and generate documentation to support audit requirements Support the Director and/or Manager with administrative duties, team coordination, and communications Provide analyses, performance indicators, and reports for the management team, board, committees, and all other stakeholders Stay current with industry trends by participating in educational opportunities and professional/community organizations Follow security and safety policies and procedures in carrying out work duties Prepare and present status reports to management as needed Respond to all requests for project information Coordinate meetings and tasks with other units across the organization Develop, install, test, and monitor systems including software applications, conversions, and upgrades monitoring Perform related work duties as assigned Required Education and Experience: Transcripts or Diploma Required: All applicants for this classification must upload a copy of their college transcript or college diploma. Bachelor’s degree in a related operational area Three (3) or more years of experience in a specialty designation area preferably in a municipal or public utility setting Safety and Workforce Data and Analytics Specialty Designations only: Education requirements can be substituted with extensive experience at the discretion of the GLWA Chief Executive Officer and Organizational Development Officer Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.
