We are looking to add a Low Voltage Cable Technician to become part of our team!
You will install new cat6 cable in commercial buildings and data communication systems.
Responsibilities:
- Installation and maintenance of communication systems
- Install voice and video configurations to minimize communication disruptions.
- Investigate customer issues and design appropriate solutions.
- Be punctual and responsible to work on your own.
- Relocate telephone and computer cabling (run new cables when necessary)
- Rack switches bring headend up online
- terminate and certify cables
Qualifications:
Be able to travel out of state for one/two weeks at a time
Previous experience in telecommunications
- experience 2 years at least must be able to work with little supervision.
- Familiarity with low voltage cable, terminating 568B jacks.
- be able to read prints and follow scope of work.
- primarily working in hospitality environments
- scissors lift experienced. (helpful)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
