This is a remarkable inpatient role suitable for both new and seasoned healthcare providers at Fairview Hospital. Flexible Day or Evening Shifts Offered.

• Located in a charming New England town, Fairview Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital that enjoys strong community ties and offers an outstanding quality of life along with various cultural experiences.
• In 2022, Fairview Hospital was recognized as one of the top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in the nation (out of 1,100 in the U.S.) and has earned numerous accolades for quality care. The facility features 25 beds, including a medical/surgical unit, a maternity unit, and a 3-bed ICU.
• Exceptional General Surgery Services are available.
• Strong collaboration with the Emergency Department team.
• A dedicated and experienced group of Hospitalists ensures a supportive work environment with high retention rates.
• Nearby larger hospitals and regional tertiary care facilities are accessible for patient transfers requiring additional consultation and resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee general medical admissions and conduct inpatient rounds, including a low-acuity critical care unit.
• Comfortable working independently without subspecialty consultative services; cardiology consultations are available on weekdays.
• The position offers a choice between an 18-week or 24-week annual commitment, operating on a 7-day cycle (124 or 164 shifts, respectively). Shifts are from 7 am to 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am.
• Average patient census is 10, with 2-3 admissions per 24 hours.
