Location: Union City
Pay: $32.00–$42.00 per hour for experienced setup machinistsShifts: 1st, 2nd and 3rd Shift
Shift Differential: 10% for off-shift positions
A successful group of high-precision manufacturing companies is expanding its CNC machining teams in the San Francisco Bay Area. These are modern, well-maintained facilities producing complex, close-tolerance components for the medical-device and other highly regulated industries.

Current Openings
1st Shift – CNC Setup Machinists
- CNC milling or turning setup experience
- Set up machines independently from blueprints and work instructions
- Install and touch off tooling, establish work offsets and complete first-piece inspections
- Make program edits, offsets and tooling adjustments as needed
- Experience with multi-axis mills, CNC lathes, Swiss machines or horizontal machining centers is valuable
- Must be comfortable producing close-tolerance precision components
2nd and 3rd Shift – Skilled CNC Operators
- Operate CNC milling or turning equipment in a precision manufacturing environment
- Load and unload parts, inspect completed work and monitor machine performance
- Make basic tool and offset adjustments
- Read blueprints and use micrometers, calipers and gauges
- Identify tooling, quality or machine issues before producing nonconforming parts
- Prior CNC machining experience is required
Preferred Experience
- CNC milling, turning, Swiss or horizontal machining
- Medical-device, aerospace or other regulated manufacturing
- Close-tolerance machining
- Blueprint reading and GD&T
- In-process inspection using standard precision measuring equipment
- Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Citizen or similar controls
