Job Summary
Operating Room Nurse (OR) Location unspecified. This position involves working within the operating room environment with a focus on orthopedics, general surgery, and robotic procedures. The role requires proficiency in multiple surgical disciplines, including Total Joints and spine surgeries, utilizing EPIC electronic medical records and advanced robotics equipment. The candidate will participate in a rotating shift schedule, including call and holiday coverage.

Job Details

• Shift: Rotating, 10-hour shifts with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Start Date: 10/05/2026
• End Date: 01/04/2027
• Required Qualifications: 24 months of current operating room experience, proficiency with DaVinci Xi, Mako, and Rosa robotics, orthopedics including Total Joints, general surgery, EPIC EMR experience, spine experience within the previous 12 months, travel experience within the previous 15 months, scrub experience preferred, Mako or Rosa equipment experience required.
• Licenses and Certifications: Active Iowa or multistate nursing license, BLS certification from AHA or ARC/Red Cross.
• Additional Information:
  • Work history/resume must reflect 24 months of operating room experience.
  • Skills checklist must be discipline-specific.
  • Drivers license document required.
  • Orientation dates scheduled for 10/5, 10/12, and 10/19.
  • All candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility and have no recent employment history with the organization in the past 12 months if previously employed as FTE or PRN.
  • The contractor is expected to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed.
  • Clinical pre-screening interviews will be conducted via phone or text.
  • Call schedule includes 1 night per week and up to 1 weekend per month, with a 1.5x multiplier for callback with a 2-hour minimum.
