Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating Group Therapy: You will lead engaging group therapy sessions aimed at fostering connection, trust, and shared experiences among participants.

  • Providing Individual Counseling: Utilizing a compassionate and empathetic approach, you will offer personalized therapy to help clients navigate their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, developing effective coping strategies tailored to their unique challenges.

  • Creating Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to develop individual, goal-oriented treatment plans that align with their aspirations and therapeutic needs.

The primary clientele of WPS consists of young adults navigating a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and transitional issues. The programs offered, including Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), reflect evidence-based practices and holistic approaches tailored to fostering resilience and healing in this demographic.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

  • Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure in the state of Connecticut.
