Registered Nurse Job Type: Full-Time / Non-Exempt Shift Details: Nights, 7:00PM-7:30AM Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Every Other Wednesday Salary/Hourly Wage: $40.00 - $43.00/hour Specialties / Licenses or Certifications Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse State specific RN license Summary of Job The Registered Nurse (RN) oversees the medical, psychiatric, substance abuse, and nursing care for individuals served. The RN also serves as clinical liaison for designated individuals until they are enrolled in services at another community facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Guest Care & Advocacy : Coordinates services with various public and private community health, mental health and social service agencies to ensure appropriate services for individuals. Assists individuals with preparation and recording of the service planning process. Conducts assessments and treatment plans. Provides individual and family counseling. Participates in the development of educational curriculum. Supervises and/or provides nursing treatment and monitoring (e.g., diabetes, blood pressure). Responds to crisis calls for assessment and pertinent intervention as needed. Coordinates the relationship with outside medical and nursing support services including pharmacy and laboratory services. Compliance & Risk Management : Administers medication as required by protocol. Completes clinical documentation as required. Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all Recovery Innovations policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified. Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies. Cross Functional Collaboration : Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to continuously improve productivity, efficiency, recovery outcomes and medical care. Additional Duties : Performs other related duties assigned. Job Requirements Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Valid and current state-specific Nursing license (Compact licensure preferred). Experience : Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting. Skills : Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their indications, common side effects, reactions and interactions. Basic computer skills. Attention to detail. Problem solving. Conduct assessments and treatment plans. Communicate verbally and in writing. Trauma Informed Care experience preferred. Must be able to pass de‑escalation training as defined by state requirements. Driving Requirements : If driving is required, must meet all requirements outlined in Recovery Innovations’ driving policy. If not qualified, a Non‑Driver Attestation form must be signed. Travel required based on business need. Must be at least 18 years old unless a different minimum age requirement applies. Successfully complete and meet all requirements of the comprehensive credentialing process if applicable. Maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism. Second‑Chance Employer requirements: Pass a seven‑year background check. Pass substance abuse testing and/or tuberculous testing (if applicable). Pass education verification check. Obtain designated fingerprinting clearance in applicable states. Pass a three‑year motor vehicle report and meet minimum eligibility criteria of insurance carrier if driving is required. Physical Demands Work may involve close visual focus, wrist, hand and finger motions, eye‑hand‑foot coordination, use of corrected vision, color vision, auditory senses, and lifting up to 20 pounds. The role may be performed in an office environment or behavioral health facility and may involve travel throughout the region.
