Senior Software Engineer, Calibration, Automation & Tools

Senior Software Engineer, Calibration, Automation & Tools D-Wave , NYSE: QBTS, is a leader in quantum computing. The Senior Software Engineer will develop automated calibration systems and tooling for quantum processors within Systems Software Engineering. Responsibilities Develop and support systems and tools for quantum processor calibration and operation. Collaborate with product managers, scientists, and engineers to translate functional requirements into technical specifications. Architect, develop, and maintain web applications and systems from concept to production. Design and implement user interfaces using modern front-end technologies. Build efficient, reliable, and maintainable back-end systems. Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews. Troubleshoot, debug issues, identify bottlenecks, and optimize performance. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers. Qualifications Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, math, or physics. 5+ years of full stack software development experience both front-end and back-end. Strong Python experience and proficiency in another high-level language such as Java, Go, C, or C++. Proficiency in front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js). Proficiency in relational database systems (PostgreSQL, Oracle). Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, build tools. Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative team mindset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
