Knowledge and Experience At least 2 years radio and/or window dispatch experience in a fast-paced environment Transit environment experience preferred Work independently and objectively Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse environment. Must have a valid driver license. CDL Class B preferred Ability to handle stress, including emergency situations Uses good judgment in making decisions in emergency and routine situations Email and Internet; Microsoft Office Applications Suite Skills Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills Demonstrated excellent written and oral communications and organizational skills Good Judgement skills Reasoning skills and Decision making Ability to work any shift in a 24/7 environment, including holidays Must be flexible when it comes to company scheduling needs Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism with internal and external callers to establish a positive rapport with every caller Ability to maintain confidentiality Must be organized, detailed oriented and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Key Accountabilities Assign work, vehicles and onboard equipment to operators and maintain check-out logs Assign operators in the event of operator absences, increased service volumes in order to minimize service disruptions as a result of traffic, vehicle malfunctions, operator problems and/or emergency situations. Maintain accurate logs for attendance providing information on customers, cancellations, and directional assistance where necessary Monitor operators and trip status, adjust reassignments as necessary to ensure on time performance Provide assistance to operators in the event of emergency or vehicle malfunctions, communicating with operations, safety, and maintenance staff where appropriate. Reschedule trips as necessary in the event of vehicle malfunction, traffic, or emergency situations Reconcile trip manifests by operators Document logs accurately and appropriately daily events related to service Collect any lost and found articles and catalog Maintain a safe work area and a focus on safety to reduce the opportunity for injury to self or other employees. Will assist drivers with informational material as needed Report to managers any drivers failing to meet duty obligation Other duties as assigned Additional Statements Drug and alcohol screening: Employment contingent upon passing pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.
