Qualifications:

• Active Vermont Special Education Teaching Certification is required
• Degree in Special Education
• Background in early childhood education is strongly preferred
• Experience with IEP development and delivery, progress monitoring, and collaboration with educational teams
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility and compassion when working with young learners and their families

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and interventions for early childhood students in accordance with each IEP
• Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, therapists, and general education staff
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
• Foster a caring, inclusive classroom environment that encourages engagement and confidence
• Involve families and caregivers in their child’s educational progress and goals
