Billing Specialist

Overview At CableCom, a Billing Specialist will manage production in partnership with field office personnel, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing in accordance with our customer’s guidelines, resolving rejected invoice issues, and validating that all invoicing is complete on finished jobs and/or tasks. The role may also involve project reporting and analysis, pulling required reports from multiple database systems, updating, maintaining, and distributing report workbooks, and sending correspondence to Supervisors and Managers. Validate funding for all production. Validate and secure all backup documentation to support invoicing as required by the customer. Use internal tools to finalize production for invoicing, create CSV files for the accounting team, and upload invoices to the customer invoicing portal. Maintain relationships with Field and Accounting teams, including appropriate follow‑up with support issues. Handle inquiries and answer questions from field, accounting, and leadership. Maintain and provide accurate reporting data as needed. Load backup into the customer invoicing portal 24–48 hours after invoice upload. Manage rejections and coordinate needed corrections; respond to customer questions expeditiously to minimize aging accounts receivable. Finalize final invoice reconciliation tasks at the earliest opportunity once all invoicing has been submitted and approved.
