Job Title: Cyber Security Administrator
Job Type: Contract 6+ Months
Location: Colorado Remote

Key Responsibilities

• Review, process, and execute Firewall Service Requests (FSRs), break-fix tickets, and formal change requests.
• Administer and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls in enterprise production environments.
• Configure and manage Palo Alto security zones, security policies, NAT, Site-to-Site VPNs, and basic threat prevention.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and manage Cisco ASA firewalls and firewall rules.
• Perform firewall rule analysis, modifications, troubleshooting, and validation.
• Support network security incidents and resolve firewall-related operational issues.
• Support infrastructure modernization activities, including End-of-Life (EOL) hardware refresh and decommissioning.
• Implement and maintain security controls and configurations required for regulatory and compliance standards.
• Support security requirements associated with IRS, FBI, and CJI/CJIS compliance.
• Collaborate with network, infrastructure, security, and agency teams to implement approved security changes.
• Document configurations, changes, troubleshooting activities, and operational procedures.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and emergency after-hours support.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience administering Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls.
• Experience configuring Palo Alto security zones and security policies.
• Experience with NAT / Network Address Translation.
• Experience with Site-to-Site VPN / IPsec VPN.
• Knowledge of basic Palo Alto Threat Prevention features.
• Experience with firewall rule configuration and management.
• Strong network troubleshooting skills.
• Solid understanding of routing and subnetting.
• Understanding of the OSI Model and core networking concepts.
• Experience with formal change management and production support processes
