Retail Assistant Store Manager

Job Description

The Retail Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations of a high-traffic urban store, ensuring smooth in-store sales and excellent customer experiences. This role supervises a team of 11-20 staff, collaborating on team decisions while managing core functions including inventory, merchandising, and cash handling.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support store team of 11-20 staff members
Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve conflicts effectively
Manage inventory, merchandising, and store operations efficiently
Monitor sales performance and assist in sales analysis
Conduct staff training and support schedule planning
Oversee cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy
Collaborate with the Store Manager on team decisions and store goals

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years experience in retail management
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong skills in customer service, inventory management, and cash handling
Proven team leadership and conflict management abilities
Experience with sales analysis and staff scheduling
Excellent communication, problem solving, and time management skills
Available for evenings, weekends and holidays.
