Job Summary:
Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) in Miami, Florida. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a busy surgical environment, supporting various types of surgeries including robotics, orthopedic, and neurological procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Address: 11750 SW 40th St, Miami, FL 33175
• Schedule: Dayshift; 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse license; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification; minimum of 2 years current experience in an acute hospital setting (not a surgical center); strong orthopedic, neurological, and robotics experience; willing to float to general operating room; proficiency in Meditech electronic medical record system
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in preparing operating rooms, arranging equipment, assisting during surgeries, inspecting, maintaining, decontaminating, and repairing surgical equipment; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; experience with scrubbing procedures and surgical instrumentation
• Additional Information: The unit is a highly equipped surgical environment with 16 rooms and a total staff of 53, including directors, charge nurses, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff. There are separate day and night shifts, with the night shift primarily on-call. The facility has recently undergone significant upgrades, including new patient towers and capacity expansion, and is a certified comprehensive Stroke Center with received the American Heart Association Gold Plus Achievement Award.
