Senior Accountant

What You Will Do Lead the charge for excellence in all accounting transactions for some of the best commercial properties in town!

- Ensure monthly recurring mortgage, insurance, real estate taxes, and miscellaneous payments are approved and processed
- Prepare cash flow projections
- Review bank reconciliations, journal entries, and all cash transactions prepared by staff accountants
- Prepare monthly journal entries
- Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly
- Lead the annual budget process for assigned portfolio
- Monitor and ensure all accounting components of new property transitions are completed (i.e. bank account, prior financial
- statement entry, beginning A/R balances, etc.)
- Perform accounting functions associated with property financing, purchase or sale (due diligence) as directed by the property owner
- Provide tax accountants requested financial reports along with supporting documentation
- Oversee funding requests and bank transfers
- Prepare annual property operating expense reconciliations
- Oversee lease abstracts for new and existing tenants including review monthly charges, reviewing new leases
- All other duties assigned.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred. Experience is equivalent to having a degree
- Three or more years accounting experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Yardi experience a plus!
