The position involves circulating and scrubbing in cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and general surgeries, including experience with open heart cases. The assignment offers an opportunity to work within a Level I trauma center environment, supporting diverse service lines such as neuro, transplant, gynecology, urology, pediatrics, and robotics. Job Details Job Type: Travel assignment in Operating Room Open Heart specialty Location: Not specified, but candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility based on drivers license Schedule: 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, with weekend and overnight call responsibilities (up to 2 overnight/week and 1 weekend/month). Call schedule begins on Friday at 5 PM through Monday at 6:30 AM. Required Qualifications: 24 months of current/recent operating room / CVOR experience; experience in cardiovascular surgery (80%) and general surgery (20%); circulating and scrubbing in open heart cases; EPIC electronic medical records experience within the past 3 years; active Iowa or multistate nursing license; BLS certification from the American Heart Association or ARC; drivers license; professional references within the past 24 months. Preferred Qualifications: Level I trauma experience; trauma Level II experience; prior travel experience within the last 15 months. Additional Information: Orientation scheduled on 09/14, 09/21, or 09/28 with sooner start preferred; travel across multiple campuses required; skills must be specific to operating room and CVOR disciplines.
