Are you ready to build your career by joining an international fire and alarm protection company? If so, our client is hiring a Foreman QA/QC Manager.

Required:
- 5-10 years of low-voltage construction, structured cabling, telecommunications, or mission-critical infrastructure experience.
- 3-5 years of QA/QC leadership or inspection experience preferred.
- Data Center background experience supporting hyperscale, enterprise, or mission-critical data center projects, including white-space or infrastructure buildout.
- Strong working knowledge of fiber optic cabling, copper cabling, pathways, racks, cabinets, access control, CCTV, network/WAP infrastructure, controls cabling, and related low-voltage systems.
- Documentation ability to review drawings, specifications, submittals, redlines, as-builts, test reports, turnover packages, and project quality records.
- Tools and Software Proficiency with cable testing tools and common construction platforms such as Procore.
- Autodesk Construction Cloud, Cx Alloy, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Project is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document issues clearly, coordinate with multiple trades, and escalate risks professionally.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that low-voltage and structured cabling installations meet project specifications, customer requirements, industry standards, safety expectations, and commissioning requirements.
- Oversees quality inspections, testing, documentation, turnover packages, and corrective actions throughout the lifecycle of data center projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance and Quality Control:
- Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans, inspection procedures, and quality checklists.
- Conduct field inspections of structured cabling, fiber optic infrastructure, copper cabling, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, wireless, network, and controls systems.
- Verify compliance with approved drawings, submittals, shop drawings, design documents, customer standards, and manufacturer requirements.
- Identify deficiencies, issue punch lists or non-conformance reports, and track corrective actions through closure.
Installation Oversight:
- Inspect cable pathways, tray systems, conduit installations, rack elevations, cabinets, devices, and equipment mounting.
- Verify routing, bend radius, cable support, separation, labeling, grounding, bonding, and workmanship requirements.
- Review installation methods before work begins and confirm field practices remain aligned with project requirements.
- Coordinate with project teams to resolve field conflicts and prevent repeat deficiencies.
Testing and Commissioning Support:
- Witness and validate copper certification testing, fiber insertion loss testing, OTDR testing, device testing, and system functionality checks.
- Confirm that test documentation is complete, accurate, traceable, and aligned with project turnover requirements.
- Support commissioning activities, infrastructure verification, punch list closeout, and final acceptance reviews.
- Coordinate with commissioning agents, customer representatives, project managers, and system vendors.
Documentation and Turnover:
- Maintain organized inspection logs, deficiency trackers, daily or weekly quality reports, and field observation records.
- Review redlines, as-built drawings, test reports, certification records, quality forms, O documentation, and turnover packages.
- Confirm documentation is complete before owner, customer, or commissioning review.
- Promote consistent document control and clear communication across the project team.
Leadership, Coaching, and Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in project meetings and provide clear QA/QC status updates to project leadership.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that reduce rework and improve first-pass acceptance.
Suggested Success Metrics:
- Reduction in rework and repeat deficiencies.
- First-pass inspection acceptance rate.
- Timely closeout of punch list and non-conformance items.
- Complete and accurate turnover documentation.
- Successful commissioning acceptance without major quality issues.
- Improved field workmanship and consistency across crews.
- Customer and project leadership satisfaction with QA/QC communication and follow-through.
