This role serves as a supervisor of accounting processes and quality control, managing workflow efficiency rather than direct reports. Please refer to job description!
Hybrid - 3days on (can work 5days/will have cube) - Wednesdays are required (flexibility of course) Job Description Summary:

The Accounting Supervisors major areas of responsibility will include: financial accounting including month-end close procedures, general ledger account analyses, preparation/posting of journal entries, technical accounting research, reporting, internal reporting requests related to
Division, Regional branches, Corporate, fulfilling requests related to internal/external audit procedures, and all other ad hoc analyses or special projects. This position must be able to build effective relationships with all levels of associates within the organization.
This role will also liaison with the ALABS shared services including; accounts payable, cash applications, central billing, vendor chargebacks, general ledger accounting, and fixed asset functions as defined in the Airgas + ALABS RACI matrix.
In Particular you will:
Ensure the accuracy & integrity of the Division/Region financial statements and other information reported to internal and external users. Direct Responsibility will Include:
Supervising accurate financial and statistical close processes, in conjunction with ALABS, including general ledger account reconciliations and other analyses within established timelines.
Significant sales accruals that are not based on a standard report/calculation.
Significant COS & OPEX accruals, that are not based on a standard report/calculation.
Localized accounting topics including, but not limited to, real estate taxes and personal property taxes.
Ad-hoc entries arising from the month end close review process
