Credit Analyst — Fund Finance & ABCP (Hybrid NYC)

Top Bank Hiring for a Credit Analyst Location: New York City. Hybrid work schedule: minimum 2 days in office per week. Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 annually. Department Overview Fund Finance Department (FFD) provides financing and service solutions to alternative investment funds, fund managers and corporate clients. Solutions include subscription finance, liquidity facilities, FX solutions, and Asset Backed Commercial Paper (ABCP). Investor Services and Business Solution Department (ISB) manages distribution, agency services, and new business for syndicated loan transactions, as well as day‑to‑day operations and administration. Credit Analyst (FFD) Responsible for credit evaluation and deal maintenance. Reviews potential assets related to ABCP program or other assigned products/industries; prepares credit applications and makes investment recommendations. Manages/operates ABCP Program. Ensures compliance with investment guidelines and directives from Head Office and Branch Management. Monitors assigned assets/products/industries to maintain credit quality via financial analysis, trends, cross‑sectional analysis, cash‑flow analysis, and market value/liquidity. Prepares all applications and reports; makes recommendations on amendments, refinancings, and ongoing activities. Responsible for monitoring and reporting requirements, including rating review, documentation review, regulatory review, booking, and portfolio review. May conduct or support deal structuring activities. Performs additional duties as assigned. Relationship Manager (ISB) Develops and maintains business relationships with customers and identifies business opportunities; pursues new customers and transactions. Reviews potential assets in assigned industries; prepares credit applications and makes investment recommendations; prepares all applications and reports; makes recommendations on amendments, refinancings, and ongoing activities. Monitors assigned assets and industries to maintain credit quality via financial analysis, trends, cross‑sectional analysis, and market value/liquidity. Ensures compliance with investment guidelines and directives from Head Office and Branch Management. Contacts and negotiates with agent banks, holders, and brokers to source new assets or dispose existing ones; promotes business relationships to enhance sourcing opportunities; arranges agent deals, including structuring with customers and other lenders if applicable. Maintains current contact with and intelligence on financial markets. Responsible for monitoring and reporting requirements, including rating review, documentation review, regulatory review, booking, and portfolio review. Performs additional duties as assigned. Your Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent with 3+ years related experience. Bilingual oral and written skills on a business level in English and Japanese. Good knowledge of finance and basic accounting. Good knowledge of commonly used research resources, including Bloomberg, EDGAR, and rating agencies. Basic knowledge of corporate finance transactions and loan markets. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Access) and some modeling capabilities. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
