Description ADM Middle School is looking for dynamic, passionate student‑focused associates for the 7th & 8th grade levels. The staff at the Middle School are incredibly caring and work in a collaborative manner. The approximate hours for this position are 7:30 am–3:45 pm Monday–Thursday and 7:30 am–12:45 pm Friday. Job Summary The associate role assists the teacher in supporting specific learning goals by working with individual students or small groups to help them achieve appropriate skill levels. Responsibilities Work with individual students or in small groups to help achieve skills and understanding of class material. Work with a wide range of various needs, including academic, behavior, and social: Reads to students, listens to students read, and participates in other forms of oral communication with the students. Guides each student toward making appropriate choices and accepting responsibility for their own behavior. Assisting the teacher in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on an understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities. Alerts the regular teacher to any problem or special information regarding an individual student. Supervises students outside during arrival, recess, dismissal, and may provide lunchroom supervision. Enjoy kids, working with others, and making a positive difference in the lives of children. Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information regarding students as is expected of fully licensed teachers. Qualifications High school diploma. Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work well with staff, parents, and students.
