VA Careers - Medical Support AssistantMajor duties include (but not limited to):Greet and check in patients, assist patients with mobile check-in if needed.Refer patients to appropriate member of health care team as needed.Reports backlogs, difficulties in meeting deadlines, document complaints.Identifies customer's concerns, perform the tasks required to resolve the issues accurately and timely.Resolves difficult problems and diffuses potential dissatisfaction with VA services.Monitor patient demographics, ensure encounter forms are completed, ensure return to clinics orders and recalls are completed daily.Responsible for scheduling appointments, scanning, handling veteran calls on direct and centralized call lines.Complete reports as required for scheduling initiatives, monitor appointments for area of responsibility, monitor and maintain clinic grids with supervision.Request medical records from Community Care providers and non-VA healthcare Institutions.Conduct special audits, studies or surveys as requested.Enter and monitor work orders. Maintenance of warehouse supplies and clinic forms, order supplies and equipment for clinic.Other duties as assigned.Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
