Job Full Description

A professional law office in Dubuque is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with legal experience in probate and tax preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
Organize and maintain case files, legal documents, and client records
Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings
Communicate with clients, court staff, and other legal professionals
Assist attorneys with case preparation and trial documentation
Perform general administrative and clerical support duties

Qualifications:

Prior experience in a legal secretary role focusing on probate and tax preparation
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document formatting
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a professional setting
Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
