Human Resources (HR) Generalist

We are looking for an HR Generalist to support core people operations for a growing organization in Massachusetts. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing employee support with day-to-day HR administration, onboarding coordination, benefits assistance, and HRIS-related tasks. The role sits within the engineering industry and offers the chance to contribute to a collaborative workplace while helping maintain efficient, compliant HR processes.Responsibilities:• Support daily human resources operations, including maintaining employee records, responding to staff questions, and ensuring accurate documentation across HR activities.• Guide the onboarding experience for new hires by coordinating paperwork, system entries, orientation steps, and communication with internal stakeholders.• Assist employees and managers with employee relations matters by answering policy-related questions, escalating concerns when needed, and promoting consistent HR practices.• Administer benefits-related processes such as enrollments, updates, and employee communications while helping resolve routine benefits questions.• Maintain and update HRIS data to support reporting accuracy, personnel changes, and overall data integrity.• Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to help implement HR procedures and improve the employee experience throughout the organization.• Help monitor compliance with company policies and employment requirements by keeping records organized and supporting audits or documentation reviews as needed.
