This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional who is ready to make a substantial impact within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers, preparing and analyzing budgets, and performing general bookkeeping. The position requires a candidate with a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for financial accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities: 1. Manage and oversee all aspects of the day-to-day financial operations of the organization including A/R, A/P, payroll, general ledger, banking, and reconciliations. 2. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management. 3. Ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks including data entry and operations. 4. Assist with tax audits and tax returns to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. 5. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. 6. Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy. 7. Support month-end and year-end close process. 8. Liaise with our financial management team to improve financial procedures. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in the legal industry. 3. Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles, laws, and best practices. 4. Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel. 5. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multitask and meet deadlines. 8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 9. Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus. The successful candidate will be a strategic individual with 5+ years of managerial accounting and financial management experience.
