Member Experience Coordinator

Full-time

CREDA Washington State (formerly NAIOP Washington State)

Membership Experience Coordinator

CREDA Washington State

CREDA Washington State (CREDAWA), the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, represents more than 1,100 professionals and approximately 400 companies involved in the development, ownership, management, financing, design, and construction of commercial real estate across Washington State.

CREDAWA provides outstanding networking, education, leadership, and advocacy opportunities while working to create a favorable climate for commercial real estate. We are a small, collaborative team that values initiative, professionalism, relationships, and results.

The Opportunity

CREDAWA is seeking a dynamic, thoughtful, and relationship-oriented Membership Experience Coordinator to help drive membership recruitment, retention, and engagement.

Membership is personal. The reason a senior executive joins CREDAWA may be very different from what motivates an emerging professional or company. This person must be able to listen, understand what matters to someone, and connect them with the people, programs, and opportunities that provide value to them.

The successful candidate will be comfortable engaging with professionals at all levels, including CEOs, principals, board members, and other senior industry leaders. Strong professional judgment, curiosity, confidence, and the ability to build authentic relationships are essential.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving association. We are looking for someone who is excited to build and execute membership strategies, lead volunteers, organize events, and help create an exceptional experience for CREDAWA members.

Primary Responsibilities

Membership Recruitment, Retention & Experience

  • Work with the Executive Director and Membership Committee to develop and execute strategies for membership recruitment, retention, engagement, and re-engagement.
  • Build relationships with current and prospective members, understanding their individual interests and connecting them with relevant CREDAWA opportunities and benefits.
  • Lead membership outreach, onboarding, renewals, retention efforts, and win-back campaigns.
  • Identify prospective members and companies and develop thoughtful, personalized outreach strategies.
  • Track membership trends, engagement, and feedback and use that information to recommend new approaches and opportunities.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and responsive resource for members and prospective members.

Committees, Events & Engagement

  • Serve as staff lead for assigned committees, working with volunteer leaders to establish priorities, facilitate meetings, and move initiatives forward.
  • Plan and execute assigned networking, educational, membership, and engagement events from concept through completion.
  • Build strong relationships with Board members, committee leaders, volunteers, and members and identify opportunities to deepen their involvement with CREDAWA.
  • Represent CREDAWA professionally at Association programs, meetings, and industry events.

Membership Operations

  • Maintain accurate membership and company records and manage membership applications, renewals, changes, and related communications.
  • Develop and maintain systems for tracking prospective members, member engagement, renewals, and follow-up.
  • Produce membership reports and use data to help identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring attention.
  • Collaborate with the CREDAWA team and provide support for Association programs and activities as needed.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a relationship builder and a doer—someone who can comfortably move between strategy and execution.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Minimum three to five years of professional experience in association management, membership, professional services, client relations, business development, commercial real estate, or a related field.
  • Experience working professionally with executives, clients, members, or other senior stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professional judgment, and the ability to adapt their communication style to different audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through.
  • A proactive, curious mindset and an interest in developing new ideas rather than simply maintaining existing processes.
  • Experience working with committees, volunteers, boards, or other stakeholder groups preferred.
  • Experience with membership databases, CRM systems, or similar technology preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

Experience in commercial real estate or a professional/trade association is helpful but not required.

Work Environment

CREDAWA has a small staff and an active calendar of programs, meetings, and events throughout the year. Team members work collaboratively, and responsibilities occasionally cross traditional departmental lines.

This is a hybrid position, offering flexibility for remote work while requiring in-person attendance at CREDAWA events, committee meetings, staff meetings, and other activities as needed.

Some events begin early in the morning or extend into the evening. Flexibility to work occasional nontraditional hours and travel throughout the Puget Sound region is required.

This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits and reports to the Executive Director. Salary commensurate with experience. Expected salary range: $68,000-$76,000.
