As a NAPA Counter Sales associate , you are the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person for customers' automotive needs. You don’t need to be able to tear down motors (though it’s a plus), but a background in automotive parts is helpful. This role is a great opportunity whether you want to build a career as a Parts Specialist, work full or part-time, or explore other careers within our company. What You Will Be Doing Providing auto parts answers and solutions to retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone. Assisting team members with customer questions using your parts knowledge. Delivering outstanding customer service and interactions. Bringing energy and customer focus to our fast-paced stores. Welcoming customers and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Using technology (computer, cash register, telephone, catalog system). This Is The Right Opportunity For You If You Enjoy helping customers with their auto parts questions. Have experience in the automotive industry or enjoy tinkering with cars and trucks. Are willing to learn about auto parts if you don’t have prior experience. Want to grow your career within a supportive team environment. What You’ll Need Valid Driver’s License. Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a willingness to learn. High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school is a plus. Excellent communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment. Good listening skills and empathy for customers. Additional Qualifications (Preferred) Passion or background in automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership industries. Experience with cataloging or inventory management systems.
