- Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting individualized treatment plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health issues either in collaboration with physicians or independently (based on your credentials)
- Educating patients and their families on preventive care, health maintenance, and chronic disease management
- Prescribing medications and therapies within your scope of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic health conditions
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
- Accurately documenting patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduating from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Utah
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a similar specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to secure these within 90 days)
- Strong clinical judgment coupled with a warm bedside manner
- Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and team members
- Flexibility in dynamic, patient-focused environments
- Familiarity with EMR systems and proficiency in telehealth technologies
- A collaborative approach and dedication to evidence-based practices
