Position Summary Brock-Civil, a division of Brock Built, is seeking a dependable and safety-oriented Low-Boy Driver to support our growing Site Development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting heavy construction equipment and materials to and from various job sites using a lowboy trailer. This role requires experience in operating heavy haul vehicles, attention to safety regulations, and the flexibility to adapt to changing project demands. Our ideal candidate is comfortable working long hours and can handle the physical demands of the position while demonstrating a “can do” attitude by doing what is necessary to meet business objectives. Job Functions Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and company policies Load and unload equipment or materials Thorough operational knowledge and skills of trucks and related equipment to be operated Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required Must keep truck in a clean and orderly condition Operator will be responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers When working with co-workers, constant eye contact will be maintained when backing, communicating using hand signals or other movements Properly follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Safety Handbook Follow directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite Perform general labor duties when necessary; and Perform other duties as assigned Job Qualifications Unrestricted Class A CDL required, with a good driving record Must have 2 years previous experience with hauling heavy equipment or oversized loads Must have working knowledge of DOT regulations and safe loading practices Proficient in securing and loading various equipment (excavators, bulldozers, loaders, etc.) Ability to perform daily pre/post trip inspections and maintain documentation Strong situational awareness and communication using hand signals or radios Project a positive and cooperative attitude by maintaining courteous and professional conduct with supervisors, co-workers, customers, vendors, and the general public Maintain valid driver’s license and clean driving record Days and hours of work vary based on job size and job location (40‑55 hours weekly). Evening and weekend work is required as job duties demand Be willing to travel and work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required Must successfully pass pre‑employment and DOT drug screen. Ability to work in all weather conditions and around moving mechanical equipment Willingness to perform general labor duties as needed Must be able to provide proper documentation that you have the legal right to work in the United States. Job Qualifications OSHA 30 safety certification is a plus Previous experience working on residential or civil construction job sites Basic mechanical skills for minor truck maintenance Bi‑Lingual (Spanish/English) is a plus Physical Requirements Requires the following specific types of vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Able to work with moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic/caustic chemicals Ability to perform essential job tasks in less than favorable job conditions.
