Position OverviewVitality Counseling is seeking a fully licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team in a remote telehealth setting. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 80,000 annually, depending on your experience and credentials. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a licensed Mental Health Counselor with Vitality Counseling, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to gain insight into clients' mental health needs and collaboratively develop individualized treatment plans.
- Providing evidence-based therapeutic services across various formats, including individual, group, and family therapy, employing a range of methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
- Working closely with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to client care, facilitating effective communication and coordinated interventions.
- Responding to client crises by employing crisis intervention techniques and providing necessary support during acute distress or emergency situations.
- Engaging in community outreach initiatives and educational programs to raise awareness about mental health issues and available resources.
Your role will involve serving clients from a wide range of demographics and backgrounds, including but not limited to individuals facing anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and other emotional or psychiatric conditions. QualificationsTo qualify for this position, candidates must:
- Hold a current and valid license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
- Possess either a master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Demonstrate cultural competence and the ability to work sensitively with a diverse client population.
- Possess strong organizational and time-management skills to maintain accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
While not mandatory, preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working in a community mental health setting or telehealth environment.
- A demonstrated track record of utilizing evidenced-based practices in therapeutic settings.
- Familiarity with digital health technologies and virtual therapy platforms.
