Details Work in a 2nd floor Labor & Delivery/LDRP unit with 10 LDR rooms, 3 triage rooms, and 2 OR suites Unit staffed by approximately 30 RNs with dedicated charge, LDR, and nursery roles on each shift Patient ratio of 2 laboring patients to 1 RN Uses GE fetal monitoring, Novii wireless monitoring, Spectrum IV pumps, and CADD epidural PCA equipment Meditech EMR used on the unit Performs typical procedures including inductions and C-section/SVD deliveries Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM 13-week assignment length Requirements Active VA or compact RN license required Current NRP (Advanced 9th Edition) certification required Current BLS certification required Intermediate or advanced AWHONN or NCCEFM fetal monitoring certification required ACLS certification preferred Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Labor & Delivery required US SSN and DOB required for consideration No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months One professional reference required Additional Information Join a team of highly engaged, friendly nurses with great communication skills Unit has a strong mix of new and experienced nurses who support unit growth OR scrubs required on the unit Unit culture includes fun traditions such as an annual Holiday Hat Contest and a flamingo mascot Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted First-time travelers may be considered American Traveler Job ID P-749809.
