You'll work closely with the manufacturing department to deliver top-quality parts and uphold high safety standards. What You'll Do As a Machinist II, you will be responsible for:

• Executing non-standard, custom machine setups and operations on conventional manufacturing equipment.
• Expertly operating manual lathes (including single-point threading) and manual milling machines to produce precision parts.
• Applying fundamental cutting expertise, including calculating optimal feeds and speeds, selecting proper blades, and managing tooling.
• Inspecting and verifying machined parts against complex blueprints and engineering drawings using precision measuring tools and gauges.
• Utilizing SolidWorks to review and manipulate 3D part files and Mastercam software to support production workflows.
• Performing basic quality control checks and visual inspections to ensure all parts meet exact tolerances.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace while collaborating with the broader production team.

What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Strong, proven experience with manual machining (manual mill and lathe operations are essential).
• 3+ years of manual machining experience preferred.
• 2-year Technical Degree in Machining Technology or equivalent field preferred.
• Must possess your own set of personal machinist hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks (3D solid modeling) and Mastercam software; strong ability to interpret blueprints and engineering schematics.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, or move around the production floor for extended periods.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, high attention to detail, clear communication, and a team-oriented mindset.
