About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Financial Control with a focus on legal entity control. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing monthly and quarterly close functions in compliance with US GAAP and JGAAP, preparing reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting. This role involves the preparation of various financial statements, head office reporting, and BHC reporting, as well as conducting variance analysis and balance sheet substantiation. The VP will also be involved in intercompany analysis, financial statement preparation with footnotes, and providing support for system enhancements and business projects. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and a proven track record in financial control or similar positions. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and JGAAP is essential, as is the ability to perform detailed financial analysis and maintain a high level of accuracy. The role requires excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in financial software and the Microsoft Office Suite is necessary, and the candidate should be detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. The VP will also be expected to liaise with accounting staff from both Tokyo and NY-based affiliates and work with internal and external auditors as needed.
