Senior Consultant - Enterprise Networking (Bloomington, IL Hybrid)

Position Summary The Enterprise Networking Team at Burwood Group is a dynamic group of technology professionals dedicated to designing, implementing, and supporting advanced network and security solutions for clients across a wide range of industries. To be successful in the Consultant role, you must bring strong interpersonal, business, and technical skills that enable you to engage effectively at all levels of an organization. Responsibilities Develop and deliver technology solutions for customers, with an exceptionally high focus on quality. Work closely with other Burwood Group project team members. Build strong and continuous relationships with our clients, becoming their go‑to advisor. Provide training and knowledge transfer to clients to ensure they are able to successfully maintain solutions post‑implementation. Act as a mentor and provide technical guidance to peers. Stay current on market trends, technologies and best practices. Qualifications You have 7–10 years of technical delivery experience and enterprise architecture preferably with a fortune 1000 company or consulting organization. You have a strong understanding of network architectures, solutions, processes, frameworks, and components. You love having analytical and consultative conversations, and you are adept at identifying and solving problems. You have a passion for technology and keep informed of market trends, solution insights and vendor roadmaps. You have experience working with project managers to establish a project plan and managing a team of technical resources to complete project activities in a customer environment. You are able to engage at the CxO and Director/Manager levels as well as manage tasks on engagements of limited size and duration. You have a proven track record of exceeding customer expectations and anticipating their needs. You are able to quickly adapt to a fast‑paced sales and quality‑based delivery model, work in a team‑based environment and self‑manage your time. You have excellent communication skills whether that be in‑person, over‑the‑phone or e‑mail. You don’t mind responsibility, you’re accountable for your work and dedicated to a job well‑done. You have a passion for technology and always want to learn something new. You’re willing to travel for limited engagement requirements approximately 25% of the time. Expert level proficiency in designing and delivery of enterprise‑level Data Center L3/L2 technologies with Cisco, HPE/Aruba, Juniper, and PaloAlto products. Experience deploying enterprise‑level SDN technologies, including Cisco ACI or Arista and SDWAN products, Viptela, PaloAlto, HPE/Aruba EdgeConnect, Fortinet, and/or Cisco Catalyst. Solid understanding of Data Center and Public Cloud interconnects, including MPLS and VPLS. Proven hands‑on experience working with campus network products from Cisco, Arista or Aruba. CCNP R/S‑ current. Additional Qualifications Wireless products from Cisco or Aruba. Cisco ISE or Aruba Clearpass. Any of CCIE R/S, ACMX, or ACDX. CCNP Security certification. In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the midpoint of the salary range for this role is $180,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
