Internal Medicine Physician

Job Title: Hospitalist/Nocturnist
Location: Chinle, AZ 86503, United States.
Duration: Minimum 4-week commitment (7 on/7 off); longer-term preferred
Schedule: 7am to 7am or 7pm to 7am.
Job Duties:
• Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharge planning for hospitalized patients.
• Diagnose and manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions presenting in an inpatient setting.
• Coordinate care with specialist consultants, nursing staff, and ancillary healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective patient transitions.
• Respond to rapid-response and code events, providing stabilization and emergency management as needed during assigned shifts.
• Procedures: Prefer LP, paracentesis, thoracentesis, central lines.
• Procedure backup: Surgery and ER available 24/7. Anesthesia performs intubations and is back up for LP's. RT available for ventilated patients 24/7.

• Medical Degree (MD or DO diploma)
• Experience/Training Documentation proof of completed U.S. residency: 36 months for Family Practice or Internal Medicine, or 48 months for dual Internal Medicine/Pediatrics; plus evidence of minimum 6 months Hospitalist or Nocturnist experience; no practice gap greater than 6 months prior to start date
• Medical License - active, full, unrestricted license to practice in any U.S. state, DC, or Puerto Rico
• DEA License - valid, current, unrestricted; must cover Schedules II through V
• BLS and ACLS required for all candidates; dual Internal Medicine/Pediatrics providers must also provide current PALS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
