Maintenance Technician

Under the general supervision of the Plant Operations Director, the Maintenance Technician performs skilled work relating to the maintenance of all facility buildings, properties, systems, and plant equipment. Performs proactive maintenance, safety, and operational testing and documentation of all designated systems and equipment. Interacts with a wide variety of personnel in all departments of the company. Position assists with maintenance functions at the Cedar Ridge Bethany location as needed.

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient and residential treatment services for ages 5-17. Our treatment programs provide a structured and supportive treatment environment that promotes self-acceptance and helps stabilize patients suffering from acute psychiatric illness. Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital at Bethany is a 56-bed psychiatric hospital offering adult behavioral health programs and treatment services.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required, associates degree from a college or technical/trade school preferred, one to three years of experience in the fundamentals of HVAC, automotive repair, maintenance, plumbing, electrical & construction preferred, two years of experience in facility maintenance preferred. Additional requirements include being at least 21 years of age, successfully completing a drug test, passing a national background check, having a valid drivers license, being able to work eight hours a day, standing and walking for prolonged periods, being able to work occasional overtime and flexible hours, maintaining a clean environment for patients at all times, and being exposed to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior and potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood/body fluids and other hazardous waste.
