Position Overview Lab Tech I is an entry level position performed under close supervision. The Lab Tech I carries out routine production duties associated with lens manufacturing processes, following written and verbal instructions. Responsibilities Inventory: Stocking, Auditing, Picking Surfacing: Taping, Blocking, Ink Marking, Alloy Management, Generating, Engraving, De-blocking, Backside Coating, Wash‑Up, Sorting, Routing, Tools, Fining, Polishing Coating: Scribing, Washline, Stripping, Sorting, Sandblasting Computer use to perform routine production duties and maintain documentation Qualify and inspect products to ensure compliance with CZV specifications and standards Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment Maintain appropriate written and/or computer documentation Participate in meetings to enhance departmental communication and efficiency May be assigned to different workstations or product lines as production needs require May train peers Additional tasks as needed Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent 0–2 years related experience Reliable, honest, dependable and able to follow directions either written or verbal Customer Service Mindset Physical: able to sit or stand for prolonged periods, perform repetitive movements, lift up to 10 pounds, sustain visual concentration, and maintain hand/eye/foot coordination Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑task production environment Excellent attention to detail, symmetry, and mechanical skills Strong communication with clear, concise manner and professional demeanor General office/computer experience Benefits Medical (HSA, PPO, HRA, Telemedicine) Vision coverage with $0 copays for Single/Bifocal/Trifocal lenses Dental (PPO and PPO Buy‑up) 401(k) Matching: .67/1.00 up to 6%, vested immediately, plus additional 2% (3‑yr vest) Flex Spending Account Employee Assistance Programs: Emotional Well‑being support, Financial, Legal Services, Identity theft protection MetLife plans: Pet Insurance, Legal Assistance, Home/Auto discounts Vacation and sick pay Compensation Hourly pay range: $16.00 – $20.00.
