Opportunity Overview
- Position Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, with in-person duties and additional weekend rounding and call responsibilities.
- Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
- Specialty: Psychiatry
- Hospital Information: The facility features a 28-bed inpatient psychiatric unit and a Partial Hospitalization Program accommodating 24 chairs.
- Position Details: This role encompasses both inpatient psychiatry and consult-liaison services, along with the chance to cover the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).
- Team Size: Comprising 5 attending physicians and 2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
- Teaching Opportunities: Engage in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents within a collaborative academic framework.
- Call Requirements: Participate in an inpatient call rotation approximately every six days.

Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry, with a commitment to obtain certification within 12 months.
- Active Michigan medical license (or the ability to secure one)
- DEA license
- BLS certification (must be maintained) / ACLS certification (must be maintained)
Duties & Responsibilities
A typical day may involve:
- Delivering direct patient care
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Engaging in teaching and mentoring activities
- Documenting patient information in Epic EMR
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives
- Supporting community health initiatives
- Additional opportunities may include involvement in group education initiatives and pursuing continuing education for ongoing professional development.
