We are seeking an Operations Technician to join our team at our Chandler, AZ facility, which includes six ASU plants, two liquefiers, and a nitrogen pipeline delivery system. This role is responsible for the safe, day-to-day operation of plant systems and equipment while adhering to all EH&S standards, site-specific requirements, and Quality Systems Manual procedures to support a zero lost-time injury culture.This role performs work in accordance with company quality systems and site-specific procedures, and monitors daily production to ensure reliability, efficiency, and productivity goals are met.What's In It For You:At Air Products we foster a culture of inclusion where every voice is heard, and everyone feels they belong and matter. Check out some of our benefits below!Affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance available day one of employment401(k) retirement savings plan with immediate vesting of company match and core contributionsPaid vacation, holidays, and sick timePaid parental leaveAdoption assistanceFlexible Spending Accounts (medical, dependent daycare)Health Savings AccountLife Insurance (AD&D), Supplemental AD&DEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Responsibilities:Monitor and adjust plant process conditions using valves and operating equipmentMaintain an electronic logbook of operational activitiesIdentify and resolve process upsets using operating indicators and DCS trendsCalibrate and operate process and pipeline analyzersPerform daily routines including water treatment, equipment inspections, and log readingsComplete preventive maintenance tasksMaintain required online training complianceIssue safety work permits and perform lockout/tagout proceduresLoad trailers and support product loading operationsContinuously inspect work areas for mechanical issues, safety hazards, and abnormal operating conditions; maintain clean and orderly workspacesQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 2 years of operations experience and/or a 2-year degree in Process TechnologyMilitary experience preferredElectrical, instrumentation, or mechanical maintenance experience preferredAbility to read and interpret piping and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs) preferredExperience with personal computers and/or DCS systemsThis is a safety-sensitive positionWork Hours:Work schedule includes 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekendsMust be able to work on-call rotationsPhysical Requirements:Ability to climb ladders and stairs, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in all weather conditionsAvailability to meet mandatory call-in requirements as neededJoin Air Products, where we proudly value the skills, dedication, and leadership that Veterans offer.
