Diversified Sourcing are seeking an experienced Painter to perform industrial painting and surface preparation using a wheelabrator/blast-cleaning system. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing metal surfaces, operating painting equipment, and applying coatings according to production and quality specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor wheelabrator/blast-cleaning equipment to prepare metal surfaces.
- Remove rust, scale, dirt, old coatings, and other contaminants from metal parts.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, coating, or finishing.
- Operate spray guns, paint equipment, and other painting tools.
- Mix and apply industrial paints, primers, and protective coatings.
- Follow specified paint thickness, coverage, and finish requirements.
- Inspect finished parts for proper coverage, defects, and overall quality.
- Perform touch-ups and rework as needed.
- Load, unload, and position parts and materials for blasting and painting.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of painting and blasting equipment.
- Follow SDS requirements and proper procedures for handling paints, solvents, and other chemicals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Qualifications:
- Previous industrial or manufacturing painting experience preferred.
- Experience with wheelabrator, abrasive blasting, or surface preparation equipment preferred.
- Experience using spray guns and industrial painting equipment.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials as required.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow safety procedures.
