This role requires traveling between multiple locations as needed and maintaining a professional, patient-focused approach in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood specimens through venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric collection techniques.
- Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures and quality standards.
- Verify patient identification and demographic information before specimen collection.
- Obtain patient signatures and ensure specimen labels are accurately completed in the patient's presence.
- Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and patient information while ensuring confidentiality.
- Promote a safe, professional, and positive environment for patients, clients, and team members.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors and a commitment to process excellence and quality standards.
- Communicate procedures clearly to patients and address concerns professionally.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety guidelines, dress code requirements, and operational procedures.
- Support multiple Patient Service Centers (PSC) and In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) locations as business needs require.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including:
- Pediatric collections
- Geriatric collections
- Capillary collections
- Strong venipuncture and specimen handling skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in keyboarding and data entry.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy Certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
- 2+ years of experience in a Patient Service Center (PSC) environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service-based setting strongly preferred.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness and ability to travel between multiple sites on short notice.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call schedules as needed.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work locations.
- Eligible for mileage reimbursement according to company policy for travel between sites.
