KH203 - Full-Time Live-Out Career Nanny - Woodside, CA

Overview

A lovely family in Woodside, CA is seeking an exceptional live-out nanny for their baby born in February to start by early July at the latest (May or June start can be accommodated if preferred). Mom will be going back to work at a demanding job at the beginning of August so this will allow for some overlap before then. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, likely around 50 hours per week with some weeks possibly more. Hours will be guaranteed weekly. Parents are still figuring out what their schedules will be but an earlier start such as 7am will be preferred. These kind first time parents are looking for a warm and professional nanny who wants to support their baby's growth, watch him grow, and keep a calm and child focused environment.


Responsibilities

• Full child care: Providing a warm and loving environment, care and engagement of the child including enrichment in age-appropriate activities that foster physical, social, and emotional growth including designing a schedule of activities (inside and outside the home) that foster creativity and help the child progress in development. There are great playgrounds, library, etc. within walking distance of the home. The parents would love a nanny who sets up playdates as well.
• Transportation to activities, play-dates, and outings either walking or driving (nanny car provided).
• Coordinating schedules for naps, meals, activities, and travel (very rare but some domestic travel may happen later on)
• Helping with the child's laundry and with light child meal preparation
• Nursery duties including managing the tidiness and organization of the child's space and restocking baby items such as diapers and wipes
• The nanny's focus is the baby first and foremost

Qualifications

• Extremely reliable! Both parents have demanding careers and will rely heavily on the nanny. This is an ideal position for a nanny who thrives in a sole-charge environment
• Warm and nurturing personality
• Team player with excellent communication who is happy to partner and collaborate with parents
• Excited to work with the infant to toddler age, know ages and stages, and what developmental milestones are coming next
• A second language would be nice to have, but not required
• A driver's license would be ideal but not required

Requirements

• Tech savvy (baby connect, calendar, etc.)
• Legal to work in the US
• Comfortable with a small friendly dog
• Water safe (house has a pool)
• Willing to follow American Academy of Pediatrics vaccination guidelines
• Trustline registered, or willing to register
• Already local/commuting distance from Woodside

Salary and Benefits

$45-52 per hour plus applicable OT
