Certified Medical Assistant/ Phlebotomist

Compensation Notes: $15-18 is the range based on experience and tenure Shift : M-F 8-5 or 9-6 Demonstrate strong knowledge of injection sites. Expected to have basic computer skills. Proficient with STAR, HBOC, and Portal systems. Collect patient demographics, data, vital signs, height, weight, and basic information about patients' present and previous conditions. Arrange examining room instruments and equipment. Expected to apply simple dressings and remove sutures or staples from superficial lacerations. Administer medications orally, topically, vaginally or rectally. Must be able to position, drape, and shave patients. Collect specimens using non-invasive techniques and preserve specimens for testing. Perform venipuncture. Expected to perform pulse oximetry. Must have a high school diploma and have graduated from an accredited MA school. Must have taken the national test that their school was accredited for which is either the RMA or CMA and have proof of passing. Must have BLS Certification from American Heart Association. 80% or higher score on medication test.
