About the Position

This is a full-time Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant opportunity in Coos Bay, Oregon , joining a collaborative and expanding orthopedic service line within an acute-care setting. The role supports a high-volume surgical team , providing comprehensive care across ED consults, inpatient rounding, surgical assisting, and perioperative management .

The PA will work closely with 2–3 orthopedic surgeons , assisting in the OR, managing pre- and post-operative patients, and providing orthopedic coverage across inpatient units and the emergency department. The environment emphasizes team-based care, structured orientation, and professional growth , with exposure to a broad range of orthopedic procedures and trauma-related cases.

Shift Timings:

• Full-time, daytime schedule
• Shared call rotation
• Occasional weekend coverage

Requirements

• Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• Active Oregon PA license (or ability to obtain)
• Experience in orthopedic surgery strongly preferred
• Ability to assist in OR and manage inpatient orthopedic patients
• Clean malpractice history
• Most recent NPDB Self-Query Report
